Zuken appoints newly founded Quadra Solutions to boost CADSTAR distribution network

April 3, 2000. In a move designed to strengthen its UK distribution network Zuken has appointed Quadra Solutions, the start-up distributor founded in December last year, to sell its entry-level PCB design solutions, CADSTAR. Quadra Solutions will be one of three UK distributors for the product, the latest release of which, CADSTAR 4.0, has just been announced. All CADSTAR sales are through distribution.

Commenting on the agreement, Zuken's UK Sales and Marketing Manager, Mark Thompson, said:

"Quadra brings 30 man-years of CAD experience to this relationship, combined with all the drive and enthusiasm of a new business venture. They provide an excellent VAR channel for the UK market and add value throughout the whole design process. This is just the kind of distributor we need to keep CADSTAR in its market-leading position."

Quadra Solutions was founded by Simon Dobson and Steve Dobson, both of whom were previously at Option Technologies. Joint MD of Quadra Solutions, Simon Dobson, said:

Quadra Solutions is based in Blackburn, Lancashire and is in the process of setting up a sales operation in the south of England.
