Zuken to add 40 new jobs in Bristol

April, 2000. Zuken, the Japanese design tool company, is to add 40 new jobs at its European Headquarters in Bristol over the next few months to bring its total workforce to over 140. There are vacancies in research and development, marketing, sales and customer support. Included in the total are 10 new posts for graduates.

The expansion is part of Zuken's bid to become the leading European and United States provider of advanced software tools for printed circuit board and multi-chip module (MCM) design. Zuken is already the market leader in Japan and by investing in its overseas operations the company plans to grow from just over $140 million turnover to $250 million within 3 years.

Bristol is the main R&D centre for Europe and the USA and the company also has sales and development offices throughout these regions. Zuken's design solutions are used by the most of the world's top 30 electronics companies.

In Japan, Zuken is expanding its workforce from 750 to 900 and creating 90 new graduate opportunities as part of the recruitment drive.
