Zuken
wins £150,000 order and becomes Novar's preferred supplier
across Europe
September
6, 2001. Zuken has won a £150,000 order for its CR5000
and CADSTAR printed circuit board design
solutions in a deal that sees the company become the preferred supplier
to the Novar group's building services companies throughout Europe.
Novar plc, until recently known as Caradon, is a group of eight
European companies with operations in Germany, France, Norway, the
UK and Eastern Europe. A strategic review of the engineering environments
in each group company led Novar to consolidate around the Zuken
solutions.
Commenting
on the reasons for his choice, Novar's Engineering Director, Klaus
Lehan, said:
"After
a thorough review of the options it became clear that Zuken not
only offered the lowest cost to change but they demonstrated scalable
solutions that could be adapted to meet the differing needs of our
various companies. Zuken's solutions are industry leading technology,
and were able to provide the commercial flexibility that we need
as we acquire companies and further consolidate our engineering
environments to maximise productivity."
Novar's Building Services division designs, manufactures and markets
a wide range of electronic products including energy management,
security, fire detection and building management systems.
