Zuken makes affordable advanced routing technology available to
PCB Designers with new CADSTAR bundling portfolio
Zuken Expands Sales Channels in United States and Europe
Aug,
2003 – Bristol, England and Westford, MA - Zuken,
the design and manufacturing software solutions company, has announced
a new bundling portfolio for CADSTAR, its desktop PCB design solution.
The new portfolio makes Zuken’s existing high-end routing
technology, P.R. Editor XR 2000 and P.R. Editor XR 5000, available
to PCB designers and provides them with a clear upgrade path as
their design requirements grow. Zuken has also announced the expansion
of its sales channels in the United States and Europe with the
signing of four new VARs.
“The new CADSTAR bundling portfolio includes a broad range
of functionality for all levels of users, while providing scalability
as the complexity of their board designs evolves,” commented
Tim O’Neill, Director, CADSTAR Business Unit, Zuken USA,
Inc. “By blending Zuken’s outstanding PCB technologies
to provide new purchasing options, we’re able to offer users
what they demand: an infrastructure of productivity resources,
an integrated environment in which designers, electrical engineers,
and mechanical engineers can collaborate effectively, a clear roadmap
for future development, and a complete PCB solution at an aggressive
price.”
Advanced
Routing Technology in Every CADSTAR Bundle
The P.R. Editor
XR 2000 router is available with each new CADSTAR bundle for PCB
boards with 4, 6 or unlimited layers and enables board designers
to boost productivity and reduce time-to-market through a combination
of manual, automatic, and interactive grid-free routing. The flexibility
offered by the various options means that companies designing boards
with only a few layers can access the most advanced routing tool
currently available. A key productivity feature of the router is
Activ-45, which delivers error-free, automatic completion of interactive
routing with a single mouse click. P.R. Editor XR 2000 also includes
powerful push-aside and spring-back functions when placing or moving
components, eliminating errors from overlapping components.
CADSTAR is a Windows-based solution for PCB design that spans
schematic capture, placement, routing, library creation and management,
signal integrity, EMC analysis, and production of manufacturing
data. CADSTAR also delivers powerful add-on technology with its
100,000+ component internet libraries, 3D design tool, automatic
and high-speed routing, variant management, and signal integrity
solutions providing users with a high-end solution at competitive
prices.
CADSTAR Suites are offered at four levels; Bronze, Silver, Platinum,
and Diamond with variations of product bundles within each suite
dependant upon the number of electrical routing layers required.
All CADSTAR suites include library, schematic, layout and interactive
routing functionalities. Full details on the new suite structure
and regional availability are posted at http://www.cadstarworld.com/productbundles.asp.
Addition of American and European VARs & Service Bureaus
