Zuken and PCB Libraries Inc., Launch CADSTAR IPC Land Pattern Wizard

March 14th, 2006 – Westford, MA, USA and Munich, Germany – Zuken, the engineering consulting company and PCB Libraries Inc., have launched the CADSTAR compatible land pattern generator; IPC-7351A LP Wizard for CADSTAR. This tool greatly reduces the time it takes to build library parts and ensures compatibility with the latest IPC Standard for surface mount design.

This software tool consists of land pattern viewers, calculators and generators for the creation of CAD land patterns in SMT (surface mount technology) parts libraries. The time to build a standard SMT library part that previously took on average 30 minutes to process has been reduced dramatically with this new tool. The generated library parts comply with the latest land pattern and surface mount design requirements as defined by the IPC. Using accurate data based on the IPC-7351 Land Pattern Standard, founded on fabrication, assembly and component tolerance based mathematic algorithms, users can generate highly accurate manufacturing compliant PCBs while cutting costs.
