Starturn: Part List Management Tool for CADSTAR
With Starturn the time taken to generate the post design documentation can be significantly reduced by automation of repetitive and time consuming tasks.
Where-Used
Starturn includes a powerful where used search utility.
Starturn will search an entire directory of CADSTAR files and will locate each instance of a specific part. This useful tool will scan through a directory of CADSTAR .pcb or .scm files to search for instances of a specfic part.
Parts List Manager
The parts list manager allows the user to interactively build a customised parts list. Parts list manager allows users to include any attribute from the Parts Library, in any order on the parts list, and delivers the flexablity to collate or explode like parts.
PCB Drill Drawing
Sometimes refered to as a manufacturing or fabrication drawing. Starturn eases the process of generating a PCB Drill drawing. Starturn automatically creates the drill detail and hole table on a chosen documentation layer.
Assembly Drawing
Many PCB designs require a silk screen or ident to be printed on the PCB, and also require an assembly drawing, for such designs a second instance of the circuit reference is necessary. Starturn automatically generates all of the necessary detail for an assembly drawing on the chosen documentation layer. Users can choose to centre the place the circuit reference at the library default position, or in the centre of the component.
