Library Versioning

Automatic versioning can be enabled through a checkbox in the Options dialog. When enabled, the version number will increment by 1 automatically whenever the part or symbol is closed after editing.

Versioning is supported for:

  • Parts Library
  • Documentation Symbols
  • Schematic Symbols
   

  • Parts have an extra column in the library to allow manual changes to the version number.

     
    Symbols have a field in their Item Properties dialog where the version number can be modified manually.

    There is now a detailed change report on Library Reload so it's easy to see if Parts, PCB Components, Symbols and related attributes have been changed.
