E-Nets & Default Net Names

In previous versions of CADSTAR it was not possible to define how e-nets should be built through passive components when transferred to Preditor XR HS or SI Verify. This could lead to the prominent name for an e-net of $456 but which contained logical nets named DATA0. Within CADSTAR 9.0 it has been improved to stop the e-net taking on the $456 name when a net name such as DATA0 exists within the logical nets and will in preference assign the DATA0 name as the e-net name.

The Tools->Options->Constraints dialog has a new Default Nets setting which allows users to define the net prefixes which should also be considered as default net names along with the CADSTAR default of $.
