Trunk End Router

Automatic Footprinting

With the Trunk End Router for differential pairs and two net busses set to continuous in the Trunking Options dialog it is possible to automatically add footprint vias to pads where required to finish a Trunk.  The footprint via's area automatically added as required when a dynamic end of a Trunk is inside a Trunk End Router target area.  The example below shows how the via's are added and removed as you enter and leave the target area.

Routing of Dynamic Ends Only

This option can be ticked on in the Trunking options dialog for large and small Trunks when the Trunk End Routing is set to continuious.  With this options selected only the current dynamic end of the Trunk will be routed when it is inside a Trunk End Routing target area.  In the example below one end of the Trunk has already been routed and only the dynamic end is affected.

Note:  In this case the Trunk could have been reordered to achieve a better routing pattern at the ends, but because Dynamic Ends Only is ticked on the Trunk will not be reordered.
