Via Modelling Options

New options have been added to the Tools->Options dialog for Enhanced Via Modelling:

Enable Enhanced Via Modeling

This option configures how vias extracted from the physical design are modeled when:

• Creating a new scenario

• Running an interactive simulation

• Running a batch simulation

If this option is enabled, vias will be modeled as a series of PI elements, as described in the Via modeling section.

If this option is disabled, vias will be modeled as a single capacitance to ground. This is also described in the Via modeling section.

Note: This option does not affect the operation of Scenario Editor. You can add complex vias in the Scenario Editor whether or not the Enable Enhanced Via Modeling option is selected.

Default number of layers in a scenario

This option is not used.
